About

Technically Optimistic is your weekly guide to understanding the ever-changing conversation about technologies — and how you can play a part in shaping it. Each week, Raffi Krikorian will keep you up to date on the issues, innovations, ethics and legislation around this transformational technology and ask important questions about how it can be developed and deployed with society’s best interests at heart.

You can also listen to the Technically Optimistic podcast, where Raffi engages experts in the field—technologists, historians, venture capitalists, and government officials—on how to harness the incredible potential of technology while mitigating its risks.

Raffi Krikorian is the Chief Technology Officer at Emerson Collective, where he works to help technology make an impact for the better. Before that, he was the Director of Uber’s Advanced Technologies Center, where he launched the first self-driving fleet in 2016, and a VP of Engineering at Twitter, running a global engineering team focused on making Twitter available for the world.

We’d love to know what you’re curious (and optimistic) about. Please email us@technicallyoptimistic.com.
